Understanding Websites on the Internet

This blog is about the topic I found most interesting this week and how I would go about having this type of reality. This week was full of themes and interesting projects on coding. But what stands out to me most is learning that websites are built on an interface connected to the internet. During this week, we created a website and a blog, for an assignment. I like creating the website but actually, seeing that code is written into a code reader, is what displays webpages is more interesting.

I am not a mathmatiction but I think the developers of the html reader is where I would like to have more understanding. I have found that script is on many websites. The design has become a second level of World Wide Web communication. In today’s society most people are looking to create websites and market them for an income. Or create a website design tool to have it used for web developing. This aspect of the internet is really interesting to me because the origins of the code for every website is encrypted into webpage development software.

I think I have become interested in the software developing because there is where I feel changes are made that can not be undone. For instance a website or webpage with a “contact us” link, now on many of the websites you select this option and it leads you to a box where data is entered and in this location script can be changed. Then there is a submit key. This submit key has commands that allow it to work or not. I have been a victim of the submit button being greyed out or not able to be used. I have had words change at the same time I press enter or submit.

So to involve myself in the ability to prevent this from happening, I can only see myself learning how to identify when the system gets compromised. Meaning learning webpage design elements and identifying when an element is exposed to a space that is not secure. I really know this is not just script writing so I will be studying independently  and hoping to acquire the correct learning tool or information for my needs. I think this answers the question of what is interesting and what is necessary to accomplish this goal. I know securing websites is crucial to website development also. This topic can become really broad.
